Africa has been ravaged by civil wars, genocide, disease, drought and famine. Millions of people are in desperate need of medical assistance, food aid and better sanitation. In such conditions, people are often more concerned with their daily needs than their spiritual development.

There is an emphasis on HIV/AIDS programmes for all age groups in various languages.

Healthy Life - Cholera Programmes for Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s cholera epidemic has already claimed nearly 600 lives, with almost 14,000 more people infected. Headlines around the world are calling it an epidemic and fear many more will die.

Although cholera is highly contagious, its treatment is often effective and prevention is easy. To reach Africa's people with the knowledge that can save their lives, TWR is producing the Healthy Life series, an intervention program in English and Shona aimed at educating the public on better hygiene and sanitation. These episodes will focus on cholera and offer information about the disease, what its symptoms are, how to prevent and how to treat it.

Your timely donation of $50 will cover production and airtime, allowing people access to information that can turn the tide in this cholera epidemic and possibly prevent more outbreaks in the future.
